A day to honor the fallen.

Memorial day

How to honor fallen soldiers:

Visit a Military Cemetery or Memorial:  Take the time to visit a local military cemetery or memorial to reflect on their sacrifice and pay your respects.

Attend a Memorial Day Ceremony or Parade:  Many communities organize ceremonies and parades to honor fallen soldiers. These events offer a chance to participate in a solemn and meaningful way.

Volunteer for Military Organizations:  Support veterans and their families by volunteering with organizations that provide assistance and resources.

  • Share Stories and Learn:

Share stories of valor and heroism to keep the memory of fallen soldiers alive and educate others about their sacrifices.

  • Engage in the National Moment of Remembrance:

Pause and reflect at 3:00 PM local time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

  • Show Respect:

Fly the flag at half-staff until noon, wear red, white, and blue, and participate in the national moment of silence.

  • Support Military Families:

Donate to charities that support military families and provide assistance to those who have lost loved ones.

  • Take a Virtual Tour:

If unable to visit in person, explore virtual tours of war memorials and cemeteries.

  • Engage in Prayer and Reflection:

Take time to reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day and pray for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
